Job Requirements for HVAC Estimator (2) at HVAC Solutions, Inc.

To be considered for the HVAC Estimator (2) role in the Office department at HVAC Solutions, Inc., candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC estimating

  • Proficiency in using estimating software

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components

  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  1.       Assist in evaluating prospective bid opportunities.

  2.       Prepare job budgets, estimates and proposals for customers.

  3.       Track and obtain customer updates on pending estimates not yet awarded.

  4.       Maintain job records to include open bids, bids lost, bids awarded and jobs completed.

  5.       Interface with Senior Estimator and Project Managers on jobs awarded to company.

  6.       Assist in review of completed jobs in order to refine future estimates.

  7.       Perform sales and purchasing responsibilities as directed.

  8.       Network with new potential customers to generate bid opportunities.

  9.       Willingness to receive ongoing training in the estimating field.

  10.   Perform other related duties as assigned.
