Job description
Basic Function: Service and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems and related environmental control systems for both commercial and residential customers. Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems. Perform Preventative Maintenance on units as required by contracts. Responsible for start-up and test and balance checks on new units. Conducts owner training as required.

Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
Be available to work nights or weekends and holidays, on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of our customers.
Build and maintain customer relations to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company’s image.
Perform all repair/maintenance work in a thorough and accurate manner.
Service and install all equipment according to an established service schedule, company standards and within acceptable time frames as well as troubleshoot and rectify potential problems on location.
Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, test measurements and pictures as necessary.
Recommend SEA agreements to residential customers and sell additional upgrades and filters.
Recommend PM contracts to commercial customers.
Obtain customer signature at the completion of job. Obtain correct customer information including email address. Document legibly and accurately all work completed according to company policy and submit on a daily basis.
Estimate repair costs and obtain authorization prior to beginning work for all repairs.
Recommend and explain additional repairs as appropriate
Finalize repair order information including pricing.
Contact vendors via telephone to obtain repair items, components and information needed.
Work with dispatch to ensure timely scheduling on repairs and service work.
Maintain good working order of company vehicle including reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis.
Keep vehicle stocked with a sufficient supply of parts tools and safety equipment.
Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
Identify and report to service manager potential opportunities of additional business (new systems, service contracts, and additional services)
You must be able to pass a background check for driving purposes upon offer of employment.
